The event served as a platform for discussion and collaboration on vital issues of knowledge transfer and promoting business creation, especially in the field of technology.

Six representatives from the universities of Kiel (Germany), Nord (Norway), Brest (France) and Gdansk (Poland), together with several lecturers, researchers and staff from the University of the Algarve analysed examples of successful entrepreneurs in various technological areas, including Medicine, Marketing, Physics, Geology and Geography from Portugal and UAlg.

On the first day, the welcome session was led by the Pro-Rector of SEA-EU, Patrícia Pinto, and the coordinator of the International Relations and Mobility Office (GRIM), Marleni Azevedo. Three research centres were then presented: the Centre for Research in Tourism, Sustainability and Well-being (CinTurs), the Interdisciplinary Centre for Archaeology and the Evolution of Human Behaviour (ICAREHB) and the Algarve Cyber-Physical Systems Research Centre (CISCA).

During the three days, participants also visited the UAlg TEC Campus on the Penha Campus and other UAlg research centres, including the Algarve Biomedical Centre and the Algarve Centre of Marine Sciences (CCMAR) on the Gambelas Campus.

At the closing session, the vice-rector for Internationalisation and Sustainable Development, Alexandra Teodósio, emphasised the importance of fostering innovative ideas and collaborative projects between the universities in the SEA-EU alliance.

The main aim of the Staff Week was to strengthen international collaboration within the SEA-EU Alliance, both now and in the future.
