UAlg increases the number of new international students on mobility programmes

 
The number of Incoming foreign students attending the University of the Algarve (UAlg) in the 1st semester of 2024/25, under international mobility programmes, especially the Erasmus+ programme and cooperation protocols, increased by 17% (231) compared to the previous year (198), representing around 30 nationalities.

As a way of welcoming the new students, various information sessions were held with the organisation of guided tours of the old town and the Faro Museum. There were also sporting activities, a walking tour of the Hippocampus - Seahorse conservation route, including nautical activities on Faro Island, which included Baptism sailing; Stand up paddle and Bodyboarding, ending with a welcome sunset dedicated to all the new students at UAlg.

The University of the Algarve has been organising various welcoming activities for all students, with a view to better integration and knowledge of the Algarve region.
