UAlg Delegation at the SEA-EU Governance Week in Malta
Led by Rector Paulo Águas, the UAlg delegation included Pro-Rector Patrícia Pinto, João Vidal, Marleni Azevedo, and Student Council representative Rita Tavares.
Their active involvement in key events, such as the Rectors’ Meeting, the Executive Committee, Quality & Ethics, the Technical Working Groups, and the Student Council, underscored UAlg’s commitment to promoting innovation, collaboration, and excellence in Higher Education, in partnership with the 8 other universities in the Alliance.
This event achieved significant progress in advancing SEA-EU’s strategic objectives, particularly in developing joint educational offerings and increasing mobility, reinforcing the Alliance's mission to enhance academic quality, sustainability, and cultural exchange.
The event also featured notable cultural moments, such as the SEA-EU Photography Exhibition, which blended debates with cultural exchanges. These activities enriched participants' understanding of the Alliance's diverse heritage and strengthened their commitment to its shared mission.
As SEA-EU prepares for the next Governance Week, scheduled to take place in Kiel in June 2025, the University of Algarve remains a cornerstone of the Alliance, dedicated to transforming European Higher Education. This landmark meeting not only reaffirmed SEA-EU's role as a leader in academic collaboration but also laid the groundwork for innovative initiatives that will shape the future of its member institutions.
