The first day was attended by the coordinator of the Erasmus+ Programme in Portugal, Carla Ruivo, who gave an overview of the Erasmus Mundus Programme in the European and national context. Next, the coordinator of International Relations and Mobility at UAlg, Marleni Azevedo, presented the group with the University of the Algarve's vast experience in joint Erasmus Mundus master's and doctoral programmes since 2004, when the programme began.

Next, Isabel Cavaco, lecturer and current coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus joint master's programme in Chemical Innovation and Regulation, which recently won the EDLAb European quality label, shared her experience with the group, promoting various workshops/working groups.

The groups were challenged to present the creation of a new joint master's programme, based on all the knowledge shared during three intensive days of training. The final day was also marked by a visit to the exhibition "The World at UAlg" and "Cities of SEA-EU" at the Gambelas Library, followed by a port of honour attended by the Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and Sustainable Development, Alexandra Teodósio.
