SEA-EU Alliance marks 5th anniversary with various activities open to the community

On 21 February, the European University of the Seas (SEA-EU) marks five years of commitment to strengthening European cooperation between the universities that make up the Alliance, which the University of Algarve joined at the beginning of 2022.

These five years of collaboration, innovation and commitment will be marked at the nine universities that make up the consortium with various commemorative activities for the academic community.

The programme starts at 10am with a virtual meeting of representatives from the nine SEA-EU universities.

The exhibition ‘The World at UAlg’ is scheduled to open at 10.45 a.m. with the presentation of the canvases of the three new SEA-EU cities, in the Gambelas library atrium, and a welcome by the pro-rector for SEA-EU at UAlg, Patrícia Pinto.  

Between 11am and 4.30pm, the ‘SEA-EU Second Life Fair’ will take place, with second-hand items, in the outdoor courtyard next to the student desk on the Gambelas Campus, with an intervention by teachers Margarida Ribau Teixeira and Vânia Sousa.

At 1.45pm, the Teresa Gamito Auditorium on the Gambelas Campus will host the Annual Meeting of Doctoral Students from the University of Algarve.
