Isabel Marín, a researcher from CCMAR/UAlg embarked on this expedition to study the concentration of microplastics along the journey, hypothesizing that these pollutants would decrease as the ship moved northward.

Reflecting on the experience, Isabel described the cruise as both scientifically enriching and personally rewarding. She emphasized the rarity of participating in such research expeditions due to their high costs and noted the valuable collaboration with international researchers, making the experience unforgettable. The final results of the study are eagerly awaited.
