About the concert

The Algarve Orchestra welcomes one of the most acclaimed national soloists and the return of a maestro much missed, in a programme that bridges innovation and tradition. João Barradas, one of today’s most versatile musicians and in high international demand, will perform Mozart’s Concerto No. 23. Symphony No. 39 closes the programme with the classical brilliance and intensity that mark this new artistic cycle. The concert also features the world premiere of O Diamante de Milene, by João Nascimento, inspired by the literary work of Lídia Jorge.
