Also on a global level, this ranking once again considers the Algarve academy's strongest point to be its international projection, placing it in position 544 out of the 2092 institutions evaluated from 115 countries.
For the eighth year running, UAlg is part of this world ranking of universities, now in its 21st edition, and is in the group between 1001 and 1200 in terms of position. It should be noted that this edition includes 188 more institutions than the previous year, two of which are Portuguese, as well as 765 institutions with reporter status because they did not meet the eligibility criteria for a position in the ranking.
The 2025 edition of this ranking is drawn up, like the previous ones, taking into account the various valences of the institutions, such as teaching, research, international projection (teachers, students and research) and knowledge transfer.
