Conditions of access

1. B.Sc. degree or equivalent (equivalent to 180 European credit (EC) units according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System – ECTS), with a good final mark: Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least B/B+ (US System) or a classification of at least 2nd upper (UK system), in: Oceanography, Meteorology, Climate Sciences or equivalent, Civil, Coastal or Environmental engineering, or equivalent, or  Other degree with courses in areas or related subjects, such as Physics, Statistics, Fluid Dynamics or Mechanics, Hydraulics, and Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences).
2. Knowledge of mathematics and physics, proved by the list of subjects taken during the bachelor or equivalent programme.
3. If the first degree of higher education has not been yet obtained at the time of the application, at least 120 EC of the programme must have been successfully completed at that time, the degree must be successfully obtained before August 15, and documents attesting the former and the latter need to be included in the application before the start of the programme.

5. Professional experience or other activities related to the COASTHazar content will be considered an asset.

Necessary documentation

1. Photocopy(ies) of academic diploma(s), translated to English if applicable.
2. Certified academic transcript(s), (if applicable translated to English by a sworn translator;
Notes:Authenticated or certified copies are copies with an official stamp to verify that the copies are true copies of original documents. This official stamp may be from one of the following: a solicitor/notary, the educational institution from where the student gained the diplomas, or the local council/local authority/local government office,
Please include the official grading system used by the university or country, if this is not clearly explained on the flip side of the transcript.
3. Curriculum Vitae, including work experience and research record (if any); and
4. Answers to the motivation questions on the online application site.
5. Two recent letters of recommendation, either by two university teachers or by one university teacher and one employer, or by internationally recognised scientist(s), mentioning:
The academic and scientific qualifications and potential of the candidate with regard to the programme,
The professional qualifications and/or potential of the candidate, and
Personal qualifications and/or potential of the candidate.
6. English proficiency test results.
