Operating Mode

The Master’s Degree in Marketing Management, composed of theoretical-practical course units, adopts an innovative pedagogical strategy that combines scientific rigor with knowledge transfer activities throughout partnerships in professional contexts. By using methodologies such as problem-based and challenge-based learning, this master's course integrates curricular content with the resolution of real-world challenges, encouraging critical analysis, creativity, and informed decision-making.

This approach places students at the center of the teaching and learning process, stimulating active engagement, collaborative work, and the development of essential skills for contemporary management and marketing practice. The learning environment is co-created and supported by a culture of close interaction between faculty members, industry professionals, and students, fostering both academic and professional development.

The assessment model reflects this pedagogical orientation by integrating different assessment components and formats, both individual and group-based. These include written and oral examinations, case study analysis, worksheets, presentations, role-playing activities, and other methodologies that emphasize the practical application of knowledge and the consolidation of skills acquired throughout the programme.

Classes follow a blended learning format, with online sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and face-to-face sessions on Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Although Portuguese is the language of instruction, some of the recommended bibliography and some materials used in class may be available in English.
