Note: International student status refers to students outside the European Union

 

Conditions of access

Admission requirements:
a) Holders of a bachelor's degree in Psicology and related subjects, or legal equivalent.
b) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree awarded following a 1st cycle of studies in Psychology, organised in accordance with the principles of the Bologna process, by a State adhering to this process. 
c) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognised as satisfying the objectives of a degree in Psychology by the statutorily competent scientific body of the higher education establishment to which they wish to be admitted.

The recognition referred to in paragraphs b) and c) only has the effect of granting access to the cycle of studies leading to the master's degree and does not confer on the holder the equivalence of the degree to a bachelor's degree or the recognition of that degree.

 

Criteria for selection of the candidates

Criteria for selecting candidates
The assessment of the candidates' curriculum vitae will consider the following criteria: 
i) Classification of degree in Psychology or equivalent: up to a maximum of 20 points.
ii) Graduates in Psychology from the University of Algarve: 3 additional points.
iii) Curriculum Vitae assessment:
    a) Participation in research activities – up to 2 points
    b) Papers presented at a congress – up to 2 points
    c) Scientific publications – up to 2 points.

When filling vacancies, and in the event of a tie between candidates, additional training obtained in the field of Educational Psychology will be taken into account for their ranking, through an increase of up to 1 point.

 

Necessary documentation

Those interested should formalise their application using the online form, duly completed and where the documents should be uploaded:
- Certificate of qualifications, with transcripts of subjects (proof of degree), in the case of foreign qualifications you must attach a certificate, duly authenticated by the consulate/embassy.
- Copy of ID card or Passport
- Curriculum Vitae (with personal, academic, and professional data)
- Proof of payment of the application fee (50 euros).
