Center for World University Rankings
Since 2012, CWUR has published this academic ranking of global universities that assesses the quality of education, alumni employment, faculty quality, and research performance without relying on surveys and university data submissions. The ranking began as a project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with the aim of ranking the world's top 100 universities. It was quickly disseminated worldwide by universities and the media. In 2019, the ranking began listing the top 2,000 of more than 20,000 universities worldwide.
Since 2016, the Center for World University Rankings has been based in the United Arab Emirates.
