Maria João Bebianno was awarded the city's merit medal (Gold).
As part of the Faro Municipal Day celebrations, Maria João Bebianno, full professor at the University of Algarve (UAlg) and director of the Marine and Environmental Research Center (CIMA), was awarded the city's merit medal (Gold) , in a solemn ceremony, which took place on 7th September at Faro Municipal Theatre.
This distinction, which was attended by personalities and collective entities, aims to honour those who, over the years, have contributed to the development of the region and the city.
