The objective is the construction and start-up of the Andalusian, Alentejo and Algarve University Innovation Centre (CIU3A), a joint innovation centre of the universities of Seville, Évora and Algarve specialised in Industry 4.0, Logistics, Materials and Sustainability. It comprises a set of facilities and equipment, an initial governance and organisation system, and certain R&D&i activities. The cross-border nature allows opportunities associated with collaboration and complementarity between universities; economies of scale due to its multi-enclave nature (one headquarters in each region); and the possibility of creating real cross-border environments for R&D&i (e.g. logistics hub)
