The main goal of the project is to develop and maintain a Decision Support System (DSS) on an online platform, making it possible to monitor, simulate and predict regional tourism competitiveness, with interaction between users (managers and other professionals in the sector) and producers (science managers and researchers), applied to the Algarve as a tourist destination. This dynamic and multidimensional platform will monitor, compare and simulate forecast scenarios, annually and quarterly, on the competitiveness of the Algarve vs. the six Portuguese NUT II regions and internationally vs. the five Mediterranean NUT II regions of Spain.
