Overview

Objectives

This cycle of studies, designed exclusively for candidates with prior training in the fields of Management or Economics and related areas (Administration, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Accounting, Hospitality Management, or International Trade), aims to ensure a solid and up-to-date education in Management, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation. It prepares professionals for complex organisational contexts and promotes entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, innovation, and applied research. It also seeks to develop technical, interpersonal, and methodological skills, equipping students to assess and implement business ideas, analyse entrepreneurial ecosystems, apply management and research concepts and tools, and create innovative, value-generating solutions.

Operating Mode

Classes are on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. On Thursday, classes are on-line, starting at 6:30pm and ending at 10pm. On Friday and Saturday students are expected to attend classes at the School of Economics. On Friday classes start at 6:30 pm and end at 10pm; on Saturday classes are from 9.30 am until 1pm. Assessments may take place on other days of the week, and the corresponding schedule will be made available at the beginning of the academic year.
The pedagogical strategies used in the master’s programme are varied and complementary, with emphasis on expository and participatory classes, the use of software applications, case studies, group work, seminars with invited specialists, and possible visits to companies or other organisations.
Assessment in all curricular units that make up the programme will be carried out through a combination of assessment components, which may include written or oral examinations, individual or group work, completion of exercises, case study resolution, in-class presentations, project design, or others.
Portuguese is the main working language of the programme. However, some of the recommended bibliography, as well as some materials used in classes, may be in English.
 

 

Tuition and Fees 2026/2027

National Students: 2750 Euros (1st year - 2250 Euros; 2nd year - 500 Euros)

International Students*: 3250 Euros (1st year - 2250 Euros; 2nd year - 1000 Euros)

Application Fee: 50 Euros

Registration Fee and School Insurance: 175 Euros

Note: The  tuition of this course can be paid in 10 installments, being the first at the time of registration and the remaining in the months of October, November, December, January, February, March, April, May and June.

* in accordance with Decree-Law No. 36/2014, changed by Decree-Law No.62/2018, of 6th August, international students are nationals of a country which is not a Member State of the European Union and are not a legally resident in Portugal for more than 2 uninterrupted years by 1st of January of the enrolment year.

 

Merit Scholarships

For the upcoming academic year, Merit Scholarships will be made available by the Faculty for the most outstanding candidates enrolling in the program. Merit Scholarships will only cover the program tuition fee. All conditions for awarding Merit Scholarships are provided in the "Regulation for the Award of Merit Scholarships".

PRR Scholarships

This program is part of the project “UAlg+Skills4All”, conducted under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). It offers anincentive scholarship for bachelor’s degree holders who are not covered by the International Student Statute, in accordance withthe applicable regulations.
