Overview
The Portuguese as a Foreign Language Summer School offers Portuguese language classes and modules on Portuguese History, Literature, and Culture. It also includes guided tours and other cultural activities aimed at giving students the opportunity to discover aspects of Portuguese culture, particularly that of the Algarve region.

Levels

A1 – Breakthrough or beginner: For students with no knowledge of Portuguese
A2 – Waystage or elementary: For students with basic knowledge of Portuguese

A detailed activity schedule will be provided at the beginning of the course. Most study visits are free of charge; however, some may incur additional costs.

Course Details

Non-accredited training.

The course starts on 1 July and ends on 29 July 2025.

Portuguese language classes take place from Monday to Thursday, 9:30 am to 1:00 pm.

The course comprises 64.5 hours of Portuguese language classes, which include culture modules such as Portuguese history, culture, and literature (a total of 7.5 hours).

The academic calendar also includes guided tours and other cultural activities, offering students the chance to explore Portuguese culture, with a special focus on life in the Algarve.

Culture modules are held in the afternoon, and cultural activities take place on Fridays.

Certificate of Course Completion:
Students who complete the course will receive a certificate of achievement. To obtain the certificate, students must be assessed in all components of the Portuguese language.

Tuition and Fees 2024/2025

Students: 450 Euros p/ year

Registration and school insurance fee: €20
