I have a long-time interest in marine evolutionary biology in the field of population genetics, seascape genetics and phylogeography. My research aims to understand the spatial and time diversification patterns of organisms and their shared biogeographic histories using a variety of computational approaches and data types. I primarily focus on marine fish species, but I am interested in addressing evolutionary questions across the animal tree of life, including terrestrial, vertebrate and invertebrate species. My research is principally question-driven, instead of model-driven and I am interested primarily in understanding evolutionary principles. Therefore I am not confined to a particular type of organism, habitat or region.
