PT- Ana Patrícia Mateus é Professora Adjunta na Escola Superior de Saúde da Universidade do Algarve. É licenciada em Análises Clínicas e Saúde Pública desde 2008 e em 2016 concluiu o doutoramento em Biomedical Sciences pela Cranfield University. Leciona na Licenciatura em Ciências Biomédicas Laboratoriais e é responsável pela organização das atividades letivas, Dia Aberto, Cursos de Páscoa e Verão, entre outros eventos de divulgação da Licenciatura /UAlg. É investigadora no CCMAR (membro do grupo CEIB) e os seus temas de investigação/interesse são Imunologia, Stress, Histologia, Imprinting, entre outros. Publicou 11 artigos em revistas especializadas. Possui 3 capítulo de livro. EN- Ana Patrícia Mateus is a full Professor at the Superior Health School of University of Algarve lecturing undergraduate students in the Biomedical Department of Clinical Analysis and Public Health (currently Biomedical Laboratory Science course) since 2009. She participates in the coordination of the Biomedical Laboratory Science course, organization/lecture of courses for high school students and in the scientific coordination of Health Meetings. As a biomedical laboratory scientist, Ana Patrícia has experience in biological specimen collection, processing, and analysis. Ana Patrícia is also a member of the CEIB in CCMAR, PT and her scientific research started with the study of the impact of early life temperature on morphological, physiological and molecular outcomes of juvenile/adult fish. Throughout her PhD Ana Patrícia has developed a great interest in scientific research of the stress response of fish and in the study of the cross-link between cutaneous and neuroendocrine systems. More recently, Ana Patrícia interest has been focused on skin and gut as innate immune barriers and the crosstalk between mucosal barriers. Her expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry, histology, immunoassays and in vivo experimentation with marine organisms has been acquired during her research at CCMAR and the University of Algarve, but also through participation in several EU projects that includes secondments in European partners, including an institute for Aquaculture Research in Spain and an Industrial Cosmetic Laboratory in Greece.
