The Universidade do Algarve (UAlg) proposes the creation of the UAlg Open Data Center (UAlg-ODC) to foster an environment of open science and data sharing in line with FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable). This initiative aims to provide a sustainable infrastructure for managing and disseminating research outputs, including scientific publications, research data, models, software, and protocols.
The project addresses the need for an integrated approach to open science, targeting key research areas such as Arts, Climatic Resilience, Human Evolution and Cultural Heritage, Health and Aging, Mediterranean Diet, Marine Sciences, and Tourism. These areas reflect UAlg’s strengths and are aligned with regional and national priorities.
